The Department of Employment and Labour has 17 adverts in Public Service Vacancy Circular 39, issued on 30 October 2026. They include 11 clerk posts at the Compensation Fund in Pretoria that ask for a Grade 12 certificate at NQF level 4 and no experience.
7 of them are Employer Registration Clerk posts at R280,278 a year. The other 4 pay R237,453 a year: two accounting clerks, one administration clerk for third party work and one administration clerk for projects.
There are other posts outside the clerk group. The Fund wants 4 driver and messenger staff at R201,093 a year, with Grade 10, a Code 8 licence and a Professional Driving Permit. A security officer post at the same pay asks for Grade 12 and a Private Security Industry Authority Grade C certificate, with no experience. At Mamelodi Labour Centre, an office aid post pays R170,226 a year and asks for Grade 10 with no experience.
If you have a three-year qualification in labour relations, BCom Law or an LLB, plus a valid driver's licence, look at the 5 BCEA inspector posts at R280,278 a year: two in Pietermaritzburg, one in Estcourt and two in Mthatha.
The closing date is 13 November 2026, at 16:00 for walk-in applications and 23:59 online. Use the new Z83 and a CV as one attachment, put the job title and reference number on your email, and use the address given under that post. Each post needs its own Z83. Only shortlisted people send certified copies. Read the note under your post too, because some adverts state employment equity targets. If you haven't heard within eight weeks of closing, the department says your application was unsuccessful.
An earlier batch from Circular 38 closes sooner, on 6 November 2026. It includes 3 office aid posts in Phalaborwa, Lebowakgomo and Carletonville, and 2 three-year contract registry clerk posts at the KwaZulu-Natal provincial office. The department's vacancies page on labour.gov.za lists them.
Applying is free. Nobody should pay anyone for a job or for a place on a shortlist.
