Role overview

Key responsibilities: Operate a forklift to load, offload, move, stack, and replenish stock and pallets Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory checks Conduct daily pre-start checks on the forklift and report defects immediately Operate forklift strictly in line with SOPs, OHS Act, and site safety rules. Adhere to load capacity limits, speed limits, and pedestrian safety rules.
Wear required PPE at all times and maintain good housekeeping Fetch packaging material from material stores/packaging store and deliver to the factory floor/production lines as requested Assist in moving waste from the factory floor to the design

ated waste area Assist with wrapping pallets of finished goods Assist with moving any material on site when called upon Assist with loading and offloading trucks with raw materials and finished goods when requested Refill gas (LPG) or recharge/change battery when required – ensure forklift never runs out during shift Check gas bottle levels/battery charge at start of shift and during shift Keep forklift clean Requirements Grade 12/ Matric Valid forklift License – Counterbalance (Reach Truck an advantage) 1-3 years forklift experience in food factory/ FMCG/ Warehouse Medically fit to operate forklift Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends and to work on factory floor when needed In accordance with the employment equity plan of Tiger Brands and its employment equity goals and targets, preference may be given, but is not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
